About Us
Water resource wing of PWD is located at Visvesvaraya complex. The main objective of the wing is to augment irrigation
facilities and for river protection with flood management works. It has four working circles, one each at Agartala, Udaipur and
Kumarghat. The Circle is headed by one Superintending Engineer and each circle has working divisions at different locations across the state to
construct and maintain various schemes like Lift, Medium, Diversion; Deep, Shallow and Artisan wells; Pick-up wires, tanks, small pumps, water harvesting and watershed management works.
Planning & Design unit exist to support the Chief Engineer mainly for policy, design and preparation of project proposals.

Objectives:
To improve the State's road transport infrastructure (physical network, operations and management) in a sustainable manner, by efficiently removing road transport bottlenecks,
lowering transport costs and improving the maintenance of road network assets;
